Military and Veterans

Focused on
the Mission.

Mission. It’s not just what we doit’s who we are.

Veterans joining ULA’s team continue their service by shaping the future of the nation’s space launch capabilities while delivering the nation’s most critical payloads to orbit.

At ULA, we don’t just design, build and launch great rockets. We build great teams.

Are you ready to continue your service at ULA?

Opportunities for Veterans

If you have a passion for space and commitment to the mission, chances are there’s a role for you at ULA.

More than 12% of ULA teammates are veterans. They have served in enlisted roles and as officers. Veterans work at every ULA location and nearly every team, including engineering, procurement, mission management, production, launch and more.

ULA has been recognized for our support of teammates who continue to serve in the National Guard and reserve, earning the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Pro Patria award, a nomination that came from an employee who serves in the guard or reserve.

Connecting with ULA Through Fellowship Opportunities

ULA actively seeks to connect with active duty military, transitioning service members and veterans, including through participation in the programs listed below. These programs include three- to 10-month fellowships with on-the-job training experiences for service members.

Transitioning Service Members and Veterans:
•    The Department of Defense’s SkillBridge program allows separating service members to gain experience in the civilian workforce before they formally transition out of the military (6 weeks to 6 months).

•    The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Hiring Our Heroes program, which falls under the DOD SkillBridge umbrella, that connects veterans, service members and military spouses with meaningful civilian work experience (12 weeks).

Active Duty and Civilian Air Force and Space Force Service Members:

•    The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Education with Industry (EWI) program (10 months)

•    The Space Education Assignment Program (SEA-P), which ULA supports through the EWI program for participants’ first 10 months.  (3 years)

To connect with ULA about participating in any of the above programs, please email ULA’s Military Externship Team.
